Jingyuan Electric is a source factory specializing in insulators. It has a digital production workshop and dual UHV automated production lines, with an annual output of 28,000 tons of porcelain insulators. From raw material proportioning, molding, firing to finished product testing, it is advancing towards intelligent control of the entire process, and the production line operates efficiently 24 hours a day. According to the company, intelligence not only occurs in the workshop, but the foreign trade team has applied AI large models to market research and customer development, significantly improving the efficiency of external business.
The company frankly stated that it is currently in the transition stage from "single-point automation" to "full-line digitalization" and has not yet fully connected. The difficulties lie in the shortage of comprehensive talents, the long payback period of large investments in intelligent transformation, and the technical barriers to the integration and standardization of production line data.
Greening: triple drivers of policy, cost and market
Insulators are a high-energy-consuming industry that is fired at high temperatures, and green transformation is driven by policy, cost, and market. In recent years, the company has continued to invest in kiln energy conservation, waste heat utilization, and solid waste recycling, and unit energy consumption has steadily declined. At the same time, the company pointed out that the payback cycle for energy-saving technological innovations generally takes three to five years, and carbon accounting capabilities are still being supplemented, and complete carbon footprint tracing is not yet possible, which is the key to crossing the green threshold of the international market.
Integration: extending from "manufacturing" to "manufacturing + service"
The company has promoted service-oriented manufacturing, providing customers with integrated services in model selection, testing, and technical solutions, and adheres to "dual-brand overseas expansion" with products covering electric power, rail transportation, new energy and other fields. In terms of market expansion, the company explores the three-dimensional synergy of "sea, land and air": "sea" is to seek overseas agents, "land" is to send commissioners from Xinjiang to visit customers on the spot via Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and other Central Asian countries, and "air" is to create its own IP account to expand network influence.
The company stated that its current cooperation with ICT companies and scientific research institutions is relatively weak. The biggest obstacle is the coordination of the industrial chain and the integration of international standards. In particular, the certification standards of different countries are not unified, which restricts the speed of integration and innovation. The company hopes to have in-depth cooperation with universities and scientific research institutions on new materials, intelligent detection and digitization.

Four demands: Support expectations for the “15th Five-Year Plan”
Facing the "15th Five-Year Plan", the company has put forward four demands: first, the introduction and local training of comprehensive talents; second, funding and tax support for green technological transformation; third, industry-university-research cooperation mechanism and joint research; fourth, public service support for international standards docking and overseas market development.
The research team spoke highly of the company's development quality and transformation practices, and believed that the company's advancement path in intelligent manufacturing and green manufacturing is of typical significance. The company's candid analysis of its own transformation stages and difficulties provided a rare first-line case for the research.
